Slag cooler

Appliance for cooling salt slags that has arisen in the production of aluminium and aluminium alloys from aluminium scrap. Our cooling technology is complete delivery including unique know-how regarding the incineration of hot slag into the cooling system and an innovative cooling solution that will enable at least 80% water savings compared to common solutions.

Liquid slag at the exit of the melting kiln, is moved to the slag cooler by moulds at approximately 850 °C.

Cooling kiln is equipped by stand-alone cooling front-end extension. When the slag passes through the kiln, temperature drop down from 850°C to 180°C in 20 minutes. At the outlet of the cooler, the slag is sorted by sieve into two fractions - up to 25 mm and above 25 mm.
